We approach epilepsy through the lens of brain health โ not just seizure frequency.
Medications and procedures are essential tools. But seizures don’t occur in isolation. Sleep, stress, nutrition, and lifestyle all shape how a brain behaves. Our care integrates evidence-based epilepsy treatment with strategies that support the brain’s overall stability and resilience. The goal isn’t only fewer seizures. It’s a more stable, more supported life.
An Introduction to Epilepsy & Seizure Disorders
Epilepsy and seizure disorders affect roughly 3.4 million Americans โ and no two cases look alike. Some people live with frequent disruptions. Others go years between events but carry the uncertainty of when the next one might come. What everyone shares is the need for a neurologist who has the time and training to understand what’s actually happening in their brain.

Our Approach
Epilepsy care requires more than a prescription and a follow-up date. It requires a neurologist who knows your seizure history, your life circumstances, and the factors that make your brain more or less stable โ and who is reachable when something changes. Dr. Panjeti-Moore brings a two-year fellowship in epilepsy to every patient relationship, and our model is built to support the kind of ongoing, responsive care this condition demands.
- Fellowship-trained epilepsy specialist. Dr. Panjeti-Moore completed a two-year epilepsy fellowship โ ensuring expert assessment, precise diagnosis, and individualized treatment, particularly for complex or medication-resistant presentations.
- Medication follow-up in weeks, not months. After a medication change, we can see you within weeks to assess your response โ not the standard three-to-six month window that leaves patients managing new side effects or inadequate control on their own.
- Brain health, not just seizure count. We integrate evidence-based epilepsy treatment with strategies that support overall brain stability: sleep, stress management, nutrition, exercise, and nervous system regulation tools including mindfulness and breathing techniques. For appropriate patients, we also explore dietary approaches such as low-glycemic or ketogenic nutrition that support brain metabolism.
- Personalized safety and action planning. We develop individualized seizure action plans, conduct seizure safety and home safety evaluations, and address the practical realities of living with epilepsy โ including driving, independence, and social engagement as part of whole-person care.
- Specialized care for women with epilepsy. Women face distinct and often under-addressed challenges โ from contraception choices and medication interactions to pregnancy planning, medication safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding, bone health with long-term ASM use, and the neurological effects of perimenopause and menopause. We address these as a standard part of care, not an afterthought.
Epilepsy is a condition you live with every day. The care you receive should reflect that.
Below are the conditions we most commonly evaluate and treat.
Epilepsy
Epilepsy is a chronic neurological condition in which the brain generates recurrent, unprovoked seizures โ bursts of abnormal electrical activity that can present very differently from person to person. A brief staring spell and a full convulsion are both seizures; what they share is a source in disordered brain signaling. Epilepsy is typically diagnosed after two or more unprovoked seizures and confirmed through EEG, MRI, and a detailed seizure and medical history. Treatment focuses on achieving the best possible seizure control while protecting quality of life โ through carefully selected medication, and when appropriate, through surgery, dietary therapy, or implanted neuromodulation devices.
Seizure Disorders โ All Types and Syndromes
Not all seizures look the same, and getting the diagnosis right determines whether treatment works. Seizures are broadly classified as focal (beginning in one part of the brain) or generalized (involving both sides simultaneously). Tonic-clonic seizures bring sudden loss of consciousness and full-body convulsions; absence seizures cause brief lapses of awareness sometimes mistaken for daydreaming; atonic seizures produce sudden loss of muscle tone; myoclonic seizures cause rapid jerking. Beyond seizure type, many patients receive a syndrome-specific diagnosis โ such as Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy or childhood absence epilepsy โ which carries its own treatment implications, prognosis, and long-term management approach.
Seizure Medication Management
For most people with epilepsy, medication is the cornerstone of treatment โ but finding the right regimen takes time, expertise, and close follow-up. Antiseizure medications (ASMs) must be matched to seizure type, epilepsy syndrome, age, and a patient’s broader health picture. Side effects, drug interactions, and the slow titration process affect daily life long before anyone knows whether a medication is working. In traditional practice, a medication change often means a three-to-six month wait for follow-up โ time patients spend managing alone. Responsive access and timely reassessment aren’t optional for this kind of care. They’re the point.
Two pathways. One standard of care.
For Medicare patients, our concierge membership supplements your existing coverage with meaningful access to your neurologist โ same-day responses, appointments within 48 hours, and a doctor who knows your case.
Direct-pay patients receive the same standard of care, just without the membership structure.

Hear from our Patients
โDr Panjeti-Moore is professional but so caring, easy to talk with, and still such a great listener! She is so knowledgeable and takes the time to delve into her patients finding the best treatment, medicine, and cost for them. Since 1983 when I was first diagnosed with Epilepsy, I have had several neurologists but only one compared to Dr Panjeti-Moore. She allowed my wife to be a part of my journey while other doctors did not! I now have confidence and hope that I can lead a seizure-controlled life! It feels as though you are visiting family that cares about you the moment you walk in the door. I am blessed to have found this doctor and office!โ
